Events

We look forward to welcoming you to one, or better yet many, of our events.

From Autumn 2016 to Spring 2017, we have offered monthly music or quiz evenings in our newly refurbished café. We have hosted an evening of European folk music with Mouton (November 2016); one of 1970’s to 2000’s covers with Jabberwocky (January and April 2017 ); a night with Pam and Ivor (March 2017) and an acoustic evening with the Elastic Band (May 2017), in addition to several quiz nights. Each of these evenings included a delicious supper cooked on site by Jane.
We were also pleased to raise just over £380 for Comic Relief with our ditloids quiz and bake sale in March 2017.

The Penaeldroch Red Nose team – two busy people, and one with time to smile for the camera!

Forthcoming events are:

Sunday 18th June 2-4 p.m.The Great Get Together / the Big Lunch at Plas Penaeldroch Manor LL25 0PJ
You may remember that Jo Cox, MP, was murdered just before the ‘Brexit’ Referendum. Her widower, Brendan, has suggested that communities might mark the anniversary of her death “by getting together with your neighbours to share food and celebrate all that we have in common.” He hopes that “this can be a chance to bring our communities closer together. Jo’s killing was designed to divide us and promote hatred. Our friends and family can think of no better response than an anniversary that brings us closer together and celebrates all that we have in common.” and that together we can “make the anniversary of Jo’s murder a nationwide celebration of strength, kindness and unity of our communities.”

On Sunday 18 June please join us at Plas Penaeldroch Manor to honour that which we have in common. We will provide somewhere to sit and enjoy the view / shelter from the weather, and we invite anyone who wishes to join this celebration to bring along whatever food and/or drink you might wish to consume and/or share with others. (Please label food with ingredients, to inform anyone with allergies/food intolerances)

Everyone is very welcome!

Saturday 5th August – Jabberwocky An evening of great music and, as is very likely, lots of dancing!
